From the DCS:
A few months ago, the Office of the Catholic Youth, opened a Prayer Card art contest for youth between the age of 14 to 19 years. The art work reflected next years World Youth Day theme “ Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life” Mk.10:17. There were quite a number of youths all over Ontario who participated and used their talents, gifts, creativity and imagination by their entries. We are pleased to inform our community that one of our Youth Member was declared the winner of this prayer card creation contest.
Let us all congratulate Alyssa Kaye Andino - a member of the BLD Toronto Youth Ministry.
Alyssa explained, that her artwork showed how material things become stumbling block between us and God and in order to reach Him, we must conquer that block.
For more particulars, her artwork can be viewed at http://www.ocytoronto.org/events_programs/wyd_palm_sunday/index.html
Again, we are proud of you Alyssa, you have blessed our community with your accomplishment and may your experience serve as an inspiration to all our youth members.
