Another Successful Family Encounter (#15) |

Fourteen families answered the Lord’s call and attended FE #15 Weekend held at Mount Mary Retreat Center from August 27-29,2010. They all came from different backgrounds, status in life, etc. , but, there was one thing they had in common, and that was the strong desire to improve and strengthen the tie that binds their family together.

Our Global Spiritual Director, Archbishop Angel Lagdameo came to Toronto for a pastoral visit from August 9 – 12. We welcomed him with open arms, grateful that he had come. It has been five years since we last saw him, and here he was finally, this shepherd of God, looking in on his flock to instruct, exhort and encourage.

We praise and thank the Lord for the 17 families who responded to His call to join the Family Encounter Weekend #15, being held this weekend, August 27-29, 2010 at the Mount Mary Retreat Center in Ancaster, Ontario.
Please continue to pray for these families that God’s will be done in their lives. And we would also like to take this opportunity to invite each and everyone of you to join us in the Eucharistic celebration on the last day of this encounter, Sunday, Aug.29, 2010, at 3 PM. Please support the BYOP/ANCOP (Breaking The Yolk of Poverty /Answering The Cry of the Poor) WALK in support of the Scholarship of Hope which will be held on August 29th at the Nathan Philips Square.
To those who have solicited funds and pledges, please hand over your collections to Bernie and Belen Consul after the prayer meeting tonight. To those who have not been able to work on the pledges and solicitation of funds, there is still time to do so. For more details, please get in touch with Bernie and Belen on how to remit the money collected in time for the WALK.
