From the Singles Ministry
We would like to welcome and congratulate the graduates of Singles Encounter No. 13. Our God is truly awesome for bringing the 32 new members to the Singles Ministry.
We truly praise and thank the Lord for a successful and spirit-filled weekend. The weekend would not have been possible without the help of so many people in the community.
We extend our thanks and gratitude to Fr. Tito Ignacio and other members of the SE-13 Weekend Pastoral Team, the sponsoring SE Class # 12 and all members of the working team.
Our special thanks to the Liturgy, Intercessory and Services Ministries, the DCS and all the donors for their time, talent, support and prayers throughout the weekend. We are truly One Body of Christ! To God be the glory, honor and power, forever and ever – AMEN!
Gerald & Rachelle Canlas BLD Toronto, Singles Ministry Coordinator

From FE # 14 Shepherd Family
1984 Nobel Peace Prize Winner Bishop Desmond Tutu said: “You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them.” As God’s gift, it should be cherished and taken care of unlike any other possession. It must be regarded with the highest esteem like a precious jewel. But how do we do this? Joining the next Family Encounter No. 15 Weekend on the 27th to the 29th of August 2010 at the Mount Mary Immaculate Retreat Center in Ancaster will help. But you must act fast. Slots are running out rapidly. We have set-up a table at the Basement Hall to hand-out blank forms to interested families. For those who have already filled-out the form, we encourage you to submit them as soon as possible since reservation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Thank you and God bless, Nick and Noemi

From ME Class No. 30, sponsors of the Spring Dance on May 1, 2010 at Humberwood Community Centre: Please allow us to share with you an extract from the message received from the BLD ECSL in Manila regarding our Spring Dance: "We congratulate the District of Toronto for carrying this tradition year after year to be able to raise funds for your Evangelization and Mission programs. We exhort all members to participate and support this event, sharing their time, talent and treasure. During these times, we can recall Psalm 133: "How good it is, how pleasant, where the people dwell as one! There the Lord has lavished blessings...!" So, brothers and sisters, please check your purses to make sure that you have your tickets for our "Flores de Mayo", then proceed to our table downstairs later to remit your payment, if you have not yet done so. Remember that you may request for a table reservation in groups of 10 people and only if all 10 tickets are paid before May 1st. Please come early for the Flores de Mayo procession with the Philippine Heritage Band, which will take place before dinner. We are grateful to all of you for your prayers and for your loving support."
