Below is an update on the Village of Angels in Lucena Ciy, Quezon Province (supported by BLD Toronto). You will note that  we have funded 23 of the 30 houses in this GK Village.

Hi Tito Bernie,

I'm really sorry for the late reply. Village of the Angels is nearly finished.

First row of ten (10) Duplex Units: 100% Finished

Second row of another ten (10) Duplex Units: Almost done except for installation of doors & windows, installation of water closet, minor electrical works

Third row of remaining ten (10) Duplex Units: under construction (plastering/flooring, Installation of doors & windows, electrical works, painting, roofing)

Please explain to our partners & donors out there that we haven't done the awarding yet. We have decided to award the units to all recipients at the same time (when all units are finished). Napagkasunduan po namin na sabay sabay na lang para hindi mawala ang enthusiasm nila na magtulungan to finish all units.

To date, we are in dire need of funds to finish the project. We have done fund-raising last year but still, we need around php500k to finish the project. Arch. Villanueva and I are still working out with the exact computation of the materials needed so we can make solicitations or another fund-raising.

Child Educational Sponsorship would be great because most of our recipients cannot afford to send their children to school. It's so depressing to see that most of their children male or female opted to get into a relationship outside of marriage at an early age since they cannot go to school. We'll coordinate your proposal with our District Council of Stewards to work on as to how this will be possible.
